Name: Dune
Species: Goennec
Age: 14
Height: 2'5''
Tier: Soldier
Personality:
Quiet - She doesn't talk much,
to the point where some think she is mute. She will only speak if she has
something worthwhile to say, which doesn't happen very often. Her old Prime
used to say "Words spoken by Dune are like
water in the desert".
Secretive - She doesn't like to speak about her private life, emotions
or motivations, as she prefers to let her actions speak for themselves. This
sometimes makes her looks suspicious to strangers, but those who know her know
it is only how she is.
Loyal - Dune is fiercely loyal to her herd,
to the point of risking her life to protect it. This is especially true to the
few remaining members of her old herd, whom she likes like family.
Strong - She isn't easily scared or moved, and it takes a lot to disturb
her. It doesn't mean she doesn't feel any of those emotions, but it must be
strong for her to let it show.
Aloof - Dune isn't good at all with other
Goennecs and social. She would rather be left alone doing her job than trying
to fit into a group. She doesn't like that sentimentality stuff either, and
doesn't know how to comfort anyone.
Patient - In the desert, Dune learned to be
patient. She knows that everything comes in due time.
Likes:
Hot/Sun - She likes the warmth of
the desert, and misses it dearly. To her, warmth is life, as much as water. She
likes to feel the ray of the sun on her fur, its brightness illuminating
everything around, letting nothing hidden.
Fish - Fish is a delicacy Dune didn't know
before joining the forest herd. Amongst the few things she likes about the
place, its fish. It's tender meat and "exotic" taste is one the best
thing she ever ate.
Music/Singing - She first discovered music while trapped by the
two-legged creatures, when one of their captors turned a strange thing on and
it started singing. She liked the sound of it, and the closest thing she found
in the nature was the song of the birds. Since then, she likes listen to the
birds or singing by herself when she is truly alone.
Dislikes:
Cold - To her, cold is death.
She dislikes the feeling of numbness that comes with it, or the shivering. She
doesn't function very well in those conditions, but is slowly learning to live
in this colder climate.
Enclosed spaces - She is used to the wide opened desert, where something
can hardly hide, and this is what she likes the most. She doesn't feel
comfortable in the forest, where the trees seem to want to choke her. Her
experience in a cage didn't help at all. If she has the choice, she will stay
in the widest place she can find.
Night - In the desert, night is where the predators come out, so she
learned to dislike it. She also doesn't like the darkness that comes with it,
because she many things hide in the dark.
Two-legged (humans) - They trapped her herd and took away many of her
friends. That's enough to dislike them.

Backstory:
Dune originates from a nomad desert
herd. She was a scout, easily blending in the sandy dune,
hiding herself from predators. Things went on this way for many years, until
the furless two-legged creature came. They hunted her herdmates and stuck them
into horrible cages. They were in the dark for days, not knowing where they
were going. Days passed, and sometimes the two-legged creature would come and
take one or two of them away. But someday, something odd happened. Two-legged came,
but not the usual ones. They took all the cages with them, and opened them in a
vast clearing. The rest of the herd was free, but this was not a place they
knew. Everything was green, and colder than what they were use to. They had
their freedom, though, and it was enough for them to go on. Soon after, the few
remaining members met another herd, and thought the wisest choice would be to
join them as they knew better how to survive in this environment.
